Professor Zeng Xiangquan Was Hired as the Part-time Prefessor of Jinan University and Was Invited to Make a Speech

On April 17th, 2015, Zeng Xiangquan, Director of CIER and Professor of School of Labor and Human Resources, was hired as the part-time professor of Jinan University. The ceremony was hosted in School of Economy, Jinan University. Professor Ye Wencai, vice president of Jinan University attended the ceremony. He issued the letter of appointment to Professor Zeng Xiangquan on behalf of president Hu Jun. Prefessor Liu Shaobo, Dean of School of Economy, hosted the ceremony.
 
Later, Professor Zeng Xiangquan attended the forum and gave a keynote speech on “Labor Market under the New Normal Economy”. He analyzed the influences of New Normal Economy on domestic labor market and went into in-depth analysis on the current situation, problem and policy trend of labor market. More than 100 faculty and students of School of Economy, School of Business and School of Public Administration attended the forum.
 
Jinan University was one of the key comprehensive universities of Project 211. It was the first overseas Chinese university founded by the country and the domestic university with the most foreign students. Its predecessor was the Jinan Academy founded by Qing Government in 1906. The Economy department of the university had a history of more than 100 years. Famous Economists, such as Ma Yinchu, Wang Yanan and Chen Biaoru, taught there before. In School of Economy, there are 6 departments, 8 undergraduate majors, 21 master stations, and 12 doctor stations, 2 centers for post-doctoral studies and 13 research and consulting agencies. Applied economy and statistics are the nation’s first class delegated organization for Doctoral Degree.
