In the afternoon December 15, 2010, "24th Forum on Labor Economics" is held in conference room 347 in Qiushi building.Assistant Professor Dr.Ou Dongshu from the Chinese University of Hong Kong Institute of Education, Department of Educational Administration and Policy gave a speech entitled” In Search of a Better Life: The Occupation Attainment of Rural and Urban Migrants in China”.The seminar was chaired by Mr. Zhao Zhong. Teachers and doctoral and master students attended this seminar.

Professor Ou presented his paper and ideas, explored, compared and analyzed the economic status of rural-urban migration and the similarities and differences between social status and so on.Participants listened to the speakers and discussed the way of rural-urban migration, the impact of household registration system, occupational characteristics, promotion and empirical process of channel selectivity and endogeneity issues, and expressed their views and have full communication with the speaker.
