The twenty-three Bi-weekly Academic Forum on Labor Economics was held successfully in the conference room 347 of Qui Shi Building in the afternoon of November 24, 2010. The theme of the lecture is " Malaria eradication in colonial Taiwan: the long-term effect on human capital formation " ,The main speaker is assistant professor Dr. Zhang Ganghong from China center for human capital and labor market research , central university of finance and economics.Talks chaired by the Zhao Zhong .Zeng Xiangquan and related professional doctor and master heard the lecture.
Professor Zhang explained his Co-authored papers which analyzed the effect that Malaria eradication has on human capital formation. The research of professor Zhang used the data of Taiwan to discuss the long-term effect that malaria eradication has on the level of education and health, which provides the empirical evidence for the correlation between malaria and the economic development from the perspective of human capital.
