On October 7, the Second Labor Economics Seminar cosponsored by CIER and IZA has been held successfully at Bonn in Germany which lasted three days. The seminar is made up of six parts like Chinese labor force transfer, intergenerational transmission of labor, the wage gap and so on. Prof. Dr. Klaus F. Zimmermann, director of IZA and Prof. Zeng Xiangquan, director of CIER attended the seminar and made key speeches about the background, topic and further cooperation. Professor Zhao Zhong, researcher of CIER and Dr. Ge Yuhao introduced their latest research papers. Dr. Yang Yumei from Renmin University, a visiting scholar to Bern University, also attended the seminar.
The Seminar brought together experts and scholars from Germany, England, USA, Sweden, Czech and China to discuss the topic like Rural-Urban Migration in China, intergenerational transmission of labor, Comparison Study on social network and labor market between Europe and China and so on. The participating agencies included Oxford University and Nottingham University from England, Dublin University from Ireland, Clark University and Houston University from the USA, Goteborg University from Sweden, Czech Economic Research and Education Center, IZA, Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University and Nankai University.
CIER/IZA Labor Economics Seminar which presents the high level of labor economics research is co-founded by CIER and IZA in 2008, annually hold a time. |
