On Octomber 17-19, the annual meeting of China Association for Labor Studies Education Division was held in Southwest University of Finance and Economics. Gu Shengzu, Deputy Director of the Finance Committee of the National People's Congress, Yuan Lunqu, State Department counselor, Tian Xiaobao, Deputy Director of China Association for Labor Studies, Zeng Xiangquan, Director of China Association for Labor Studies Education Division, Dean of SLHR and Director of CIER, Yao Xianguo, Li Yongjie, Shenqinqin, Lai Desheng, Deputy Director of China Association for Labor Studies Education Division, Zhao Yue, Deputy Secretary General of China Association for Labor Studies, Deng Dasong, Director of Social Security Research Center of Wuhan University, Ye Yumin, Professor of School of Public Administration of RUC, Zhangqun, Secretary of the Meeting Committee of School of Public Administration of Wuhan University, Tang Xinglin, Dean of School of Public Administration of Wuhan University, etc., participated in the meeting.

Professor Lai Desheng, Deputy Director of China Association for Labor Studies Education Division and Dean of School of Economy and Business Administration of Beijing Normal University hosted the keynote speech.
Gu Shengzu, Deputy Director of the Finance Committee of the National People's Congress, delivered a speech with the theme of “How to Coordinate Five Factors of the New Urbanization” in the ‘new normal’ economy” and he analyzed the relationships among the five factors: people, business, money, land, house.

Ye Yumin, Director of the research center of urban and rural development of School of Public Administration of RUC delivered a speech themed “People Oriented Urbanization Development”. Li Qun, Deputy Director of Chengdu Human Resources and Social Security Bureau Employment Department, addressed a speech themed “Human Resources Challenges and Problems in the Development of Urbanization in Chengdu” and suggested optimizing policies and conduct management in the same city.

Zeng Xiangquan, Deputy Director of China Association for Labor Studies, Director of China Association for Labor Studies Education Division, Dean of SLHR and Director of CIER, gave a work presentation. He summarized work of 2014 in the following aspects: the success of 2013 annual meeting and the celebration of the 30th anniversary of SLHR, the active international communication and cooperation, the succession of doctor student seminar, the completion of work assigned by China Association for Labor Studies.

Professor Zhangqun, Secretary of the Meeting Committee of School of Public Administration of Wuhan University, hosted guest dialogue. As for the challenges and opportunities of the labor market, Research Tian Xiaobao expressed his opinions in the aspects of urban and rural coordination, compliance to rules, and people-orientation. Professor Deng Dasong started from “ecological urbanization” and analyzed the meaning of urbanization, which was the emphasis to quality. Professor Yao Xianguo added that we need to come back to the root and solve the externalities foundamentally. Professor Zeng Xiangquan emphasized the issue of fusion of industry and urban and establishment of human resources. Deputy Director Li Qun focused on introducing the three main policies to promote employment in Chengdu.
Guest Dialogue
The meeting had the theme of “New Urbanization: Challenges and Solutions of Chinese Labor Market” and a total of 229 people participated in the meeting and submitted 122 papers. After expert review, 15 papers won the reward of “Best Paper of the Annual Meeting”.
The meeting had also 4 divisions: ”Labor Economy”, “Social Security”, “Labor Relations” and “Human Resources Management”. Participants also had in-depth discussion on the issues of challenges and opportunities of labor market in the progress of urbanization, coordination of urban and rural social security, people-oriented urbanization and so on.
Professor Yang Heqing, Deputy Director of China Association for Labor Studies Education Division and Director of Academic Board of School of Economy of Capital University of Economics hosted the keynote speech in the morning of 19th. Professor Deng Dasong delivered a speech themed “the Employment Risk and Avoidance of Migrant Workers in the New Urbanization”. Professor Ji Shao of School of Economy of Capital University of Economics delivered a speech themed “the Research on Migrant Track of Migrant Workers and the Promotion System of Upward Development” and answered questions of audience.

In the closing ceremony, the four divisions gave their reports. Professor Tang Xinglin reported the preparation work of the meeting and expressed thanks as the representative of the organizer. Zeng Xiangquan, Director of China Association for Labor Studies Education Division, Dean of SLHR made the summary and pointed out that the meeting was a success. He said that the institute should paid more attention to the researches of significant issues and increase the discussion on subjects and talents in the future. The meeting was successfully closed on 19th.
