On May 17th and 18th of 2011, Professor Paul F. Clark, Head of Department of Labor Studies and Employment Relations, Pennsylvania State University, and his wife Darlene Clark came to the School of Labor and Human Resources, Renmin University of China for a working visit.

On May 17th afternoon, Dean of School of Labor and Human Resources, Director of the China Institute for Employment Research, Professor Zeng Xiangquan cordially met with the visiting Professor Paul F. Clark and his party at Room 442, Qiushi Building. The two sides extensively exchanged views about exchanging students, developing collaborative research, strengthening exchanges and some other affairs.

Dean Zeng welcomed Professor Paul F. Clark and then gave the visitors a brief introduction of our school, mainly focused on our majors, our summer school program and measures we are taking to enhance our internationalizaiton. Dean Zeng hoped to promote mutual understanding and strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Department of Labor Studies and Employment Relations, Pennsylvania State University after Head Paul F. Clark's visit. Paul F. Clark introduced  majors of labor studies in Amenrica, basic situation of the department of Labor Studies and Employment Relation, recent changes and future development of the department. He mainly talked about teaching and research priorities, international exchanges and distinctive projects. According to Professor Paul F. Clark, many scholars of their department have done research on international issues during the past several years, and they are hopeful to cooperate with our school and share information of relevant symposium. The two sides also highlighted the student exchange program and each other's curriculum and learning environment. Both sides are looking forward to carrying out exchange program as soon as possible.

Professor Paul F. Clark's visit is an important manifestation of futher promotion of our school's international influence. Secretary of our school Zhou Shi, Head of Labor Relations Li Lilin, Associate Professor Li Yuhui of Human Resource Management department, teacher Zhang Shilei and Chen Xiaorui accompanied the visiting experts.
