Upon the invitation of the U.S. State Department, Professor Yang Weiguo participated in the American Community College summit conference on October 5, 2010 as the representative of Humphrey Fellows. Professor Yang Weiguo and other international scholars were received in audience by Joe Biden, later Joe Biden had a friendly talk and a group photo with the two Humphrey Fellows (one from Barbados). On October 6, Professor Yang Weiguo participated in the Community College and Economic Development International Round-table conference hosted in Northern Virginia Community College, and expressed his views on two issues of American Community College summit conference.
