On January 10th, CIER successfully held 2009 Fourth-Quarter Quarterly Review of China Employment at Room 347 of Qiushi Building of the RUC. Hu Deqiao, Deputy Director of Department of Employment and Income Distribution of Development and Reform Commission Yin Jiankun, Deputy Director of Department of Employment Promotion of MHRSS Zhao Yuncheng, Deputy director of Department of Population and Employment Statistics, Hao Jian, Senior Data Product Manager of Zhaopin.com attended the meeting. Professor Zeng Xiangquan,Director of SLHR and CIER, Professor Yang Weiguo, Deputy director of Scientific Research Department and CIER, Professor Zhao Zhong, Professor Ding Dajian, Professor YI Dinghong, Professor Xu Shiyong, Dr. Ge Yuhao, Dr. Ge Yuhao, Dr. Li Hongjian and other teachers and students participated in the meeting. The Meeting was chaired by Professor Tang Kuang, deputy secretary of Party of SLHR of RUC.
At the beginning, Professor Zeng Xiangquan, Director of SLHR and CIER, briefly described the background and main content of the meeting and at the end of the meeting summarized this year’s conference, thanked to the government's support and prospected future work.
At first, Professor Ding Dajian made two reports, one entitled The Analysis of 2009 Fourth-quarter Chinese Labor Market Conditions-Take Network Recruitment Data as an Example, the other was an empirical study into seasonally adjustment of time series data of labor market. Subsequently, Professor Yang Weiguo analyzed the employment policies of the fourth quarter and Professor Tang Kuang made a report entitled the Development Environment and Prospect of Human Resources and Social Security in 2010.
Deputy Director Hu Deqiao and Deputy Director Yin Jiankun, Deputy Director Zhao Yuncheng expressed their views and comments on the reports. They spoke highly of the analysis and research of the Chinese labor market conditions made by CIER in the last year, and made important recommendations on the future theme of the report, way of cooperation and research.
The Quarterly Review of China Employment is an important academic activity held by CIER, which concerns about research on macroeconomic employment of China's labor market and promotes key discipline construction of labor economics of SLHR. The Quarterly Review of China Employment has been successfully held four times since the first conference held on April 19, 2009. The Quarterly Review of China Employment completes and publishes the report on last quarter of China's macroeconomic employment situation on a regular basis, analyzes and interprets major national employment policy and invites leaders and experts from government departments to discuss in-depth on some major issues in the employment field.
