At 16:00 on November 11, 2009, the Eleventh Biweekly Academic Forum of Labor Economics organized by School of Labor and Human Resources of RUC was successfully held. The speaker of this forum was Dr. Hong Liu, who is from China Economics and Management Academy, Central University of Finance. The topic was the Expansion of Public Health Insurance and the Demand for Private Health Insurance in Rural China. The forum was presided over by Professor Zhao Zhong, senior researcher of CIER. Assistant Researcher of CIER Wu Qiang, other teachers and students of the School of Labor and Human Resources attended the forum and discussed Dr. Liu Hong’s speech.
Dr. Liu received doctorate in economics from State University of New York at Stony Brook and now works at China Economics and Management Academy of Central University of Finance. Her research areas mainly focus on: labor economics, health economics and so on. She had much research in the field of health problems and has published a number of articles related to health and medical, two of which was ‘Has the Use of Physician Gatekeepers Declined among HMOs? Evidence from the United States’ and ‘The Effects of an Anti-Smoking Media Campaign on Smoking Behavior: The California Experience’ was collected by SSCI. |
