On October 24th to 25th, 2009 International High-level Forum of Human Resource Strategy and Development was hold in Jinan University in Shandong. Zeng Xiangquan, Dean of the School of Labor and Human Resources, Renmin University of China, Head of China Institute for Employment Research, was invited and gave a speech on "Facing Global Competition, Upgrading Organizational Core Competitiveness", analyzing seven big problems in human resource development and management of China enterprises in the context of globalization from variant perspectives, proposing a localized mode of upgrading organizational core competitiveness for China enterprises under the lead of international advanced concepts. The speech received wide concerns and consents. Leaders of Shandong Human Resources and Social Security Department and Education Department, experts and scholars from universities at home and abroad, and representatives of entrepreneurs, over 300 in total, were present at the forum. Shandong Qilu Evening Paper featured event with "Labor Economist Zeng Xiangquan Talks about College Students' Career Philosophy" in Jinan: Success is to achieve the extreme of your work" as the title.
