On September 1st, Deputy governor of Danish Central Bank Torben Nielsen paid a special visit to the School of Labor and Human Resources of RUC and had an in-depth talk with Professor Zeng Xiangquan, the dean of the School of Labor and Human Resources and the director of CIER, on employment, income distribution and labor relations in the development of China’s labor market.
Professor Zeng Xiangquan gave a detailed description to Mr. Nielsen about the development of China’s labor market, the employment situation of the university students and rural migrant workers, the future development trend of China’s labor supply and demand, and the challenges China’s labor market is facing. Besides he introduced the research on employment issues carried out by CIER in recent years and presented the series of Research Report on China’s Employment Strategy including Employment Environment in Change and the Employment of University Students, Market-oriented Measurement of China’s Employment and Unemployment and Labor Market Intermediaries and Employment Promotion which have been published by CIER.
Thomas Elkjr, the Financial Counselor of Danish Embassy, Wang Han and another two from Politics and Economy Department, Politics Economy and Development Office accompanied and participated in the talk. |
